Mr. Zsolt Hormay is a highly skilled and world-renowned expert in the design, creation and construction of themed environments for theme parks, resorts, zoo exhibits, and various other settings. He has played an integral role as a creative executive with the Walt Disney Company in major projects located in France, Japan, and the United States. His skills encompass environmental and figurative sculpting, rockwork and character facade construction, and the development of innovative, realistic and highly durable finishes and materials that have been utilized in the design and installation of artificial and natural rock formations, water features, and a wide variety of themed environments.

Mr. Hormay has a unique talent for recruiting, building and managing international, multi-disciplinary teams. He is recognized for his outstanding ability to provide creative and technical direction while coordinating with architects, engineers and clients to achieve the successful completion of multi-million dollar projects on schedule and within budget. He is an expert in the utilization of state-of-the-art methods and techniques to create artistic, realistic and aesthetically pleasing environments that can be a strong component of major structural, mechanical and ride systems. He has been instrumental in the research, design and development of one-of-a-kind signature projects and environments and has been a driving force in the creation of new substances, materials and techniques.

During his long-term, twelve year career with Walt Disney Imagineering he worked on a wide variety of projects in four major parks on three continents. Several projects serve as focal points of the theme parks, such as the Tree of Life at Disney's Animal Kingdom, a $20M project that has been featured in numerous articles, publications and television programs, as well as Mysterious Island at Tokyo DisneySea, a $175M rockwork project that features the world's largest fabricated scenic rockwork that encloses a roller coaster, a ride and three restaurants. Mr. Hormay has a strong influence in the design phase of projects, as well as throughout the process of themed construction, involving problem-solving, the integration of various disciplines, fabrication and field installation of rockwork and architectural structures, sculpting and application of metal, cement and other materials to create themed interior and exterior environments.

Mr. Hormay is currently the President and Creative Director of the Hormay Company where he is continuing to provide his exceptional knowledge and creativity to a wide variety of projects worldwide. He is continually developing new processes and materials to meet ever-increasing challenges and has successfully built on his studies in Art, Figurative Sculpting and Design, Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Egyptian and Greek History and Culture. His creativity extends to a special interest in nature, photography and the art of Origami (Japanese paper folding), as well as to playing music on various instruments, such as Native American and Hungarian flutes, classical and acoustical guitar, and the Renaissance lute. He has been active in sports, including competitive sailing in Olympic class boats, horseback riding, and playing hockey for seven years, including two years on the Hungarian National Hockey team and representing Hungary at the European Championships in 1981.
